According to Gus, dogs are exempt from the “close your mouth while you chew” rule.
Last week we blogged about the PetAg giveaway we won from Doggies and Stuff. The flat, square-shaped chew was the first one we pulled out of the package and it kept Gus entertained for about five minutes, just long enough for me to snap a few photos. Little did we know the secret is in the sauce shape. Gus did quite the number on this rawhide bone the other night. He normally doesn’t chew for an extended period of time (unless it’s edible, like a Greenie), but gnawed on this bad boy for a solid 20 minutes. We told him it was rude to chew with his mouth open. He stopped chewing, looked up at us and then did this…
And so it continued for the next 20 minutes…

And in case you’re wondering, yup, I belly surfed on the floor the entire 20 minutes snapping photos of his big mouth. Does that make me weird? If so, I’m okay with that. ;)
